Dear Parents/Guardians:

    We are happy that you found our new web site. We will continue to update our web site throughout the school year. We hope you will find it interesting and useful.

    We believe that all children can learn and that a positive and task-oriented climate facilitates and enables teaching and learning.  With an awareness of each child's academic, social and emotional needs, and while providing a safe and structured environment, we will guide students in building a foundation for life-long skill-learning as they grow from present levels to their maximum potential.

    Children do better in school when their parents are involved in their education.  Parent involvement is one of the keys to the success of our children and the Downtown School.   We invite you to be involved in your child’s education through your PTA membership and volunteer efforts at school.  Please read with your child everyday and discuss what happens at school.
